This couldnt be simpler. Manchester United have reiterated once again they have no interest in selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid. The 23-year-old gave the clearest indication yet he was considering a move to Spain after Portugal crashed out of Euro 2008 to Germany.

He told journalists after his side's 3-2 defeat "the possibilities [of a move to the Bernabeu] are great". But United issued a firm statement on Friday reaffirming their position. "Further to Friday's press speculation about where Cristiano Ronaldo's future lies, the club has moved to reiterate its stance on the matter: United are not listening to offers," the statement on the club's official website read.
